This spectacular table is impressive enough when closed, stretching almost six feet long and over 40" wide, due to its massive carved urn pedestal legs connected with an "H" stretcher for even more strength, coupled with the bold acanthus rosettes on the plinth blocks above which join to the carved and castellated apron. Solid, thick planks of the old-growth French white oak from which the entire table is constructed, also form the plank and panel top. When the leaves are drawn out from their semi-concealed location under the top, this table opens to over eleven feet long! Leaves just as easily tuck back in to reclaim floor space. What a wonderful way to entertain!
