Pair 19th Century French Regence Walnut Side Chairs is an incredibly elegant set, with the sumptuous wood, considered the finest indigenous furniture wood in Europe, skillfully and artfully sculpted with shell, floral and foliate motifs on the arched seatback crown, shoulders, and even the frame below the seatback.  The generous seat is supported by subtly scrolled legs carved with shell, foliate and escargot designs, and crest motifs appearing between the legs on the apron.
