19th Century Swedish Bench ~ Trundle Bed in Stripped Pine is a classic example of the continuing traditions of craftsmanship that came to the fore during the Gustavian period.  Utilizing native old-growth pine, the artisans crafted a tailored design with just a touch of flair in the four corners that comprise the supports for the design, having been cut with a subtle scroll.  Turned armrests on top and a contoured reinforcing slat also lend to the design flair.  The solid plank back and seat match the lower front of the trunk enclosure, with plain panels on the sides to match.  However, this is not just a trunk/bench, as one can certainly lift the seat to reveal storage space, but the front also pulls out so one can lay in a mattress, such as a modern inflatable one, and create sleeping accommodations for overnight guests!  The old-growth pine has been painstakingly stripped by our expert in-house staff to reveal its innate warmth and character.  The stylish, space efficient, and multi-purpose design will add a rustic Scandinavian charm to any room!
