19th Century Country French Fruitwood Garde Manger ~ Cabinet from Brittany is a charming ode to the past!  Hand-crafted from seasoned old-growth fruitwood, it features an open window with spindle rails at the top.  Such design features were common during the period in the belief that fresh air circulation was a healthy thing.  Typical for Brittany, the embellishment of the piece includes variations on demilune bordering, rosettes, and brass tacks with an especially beautiful brass key guard.  Paying respect to the seaside community, sand dollars are depicted as well, even appearing on the sides accentuated by brass tacks for a splendid visual appeal.  Cabinet opens to reveal surprising storage, especially when considering the full width drawer just above the base.
