19th Century French Walnut Louis XV Vitrine is a splendid example of the style, and of the genre!  A derivation of the bonnetiere, such vitrines feature glazing to allow one to proudly display family heirlooms, photos, or a special collection.  This example features a boldly arched crown topped with a shell carving which is mirrored on the undulating apron below.  Three quarters glazed doors are finished with intaglio-carved lower panels.
