18th Century Country French Bookcase ~ Bibliotheque is a study in understated elegance, indeed!  The bold arbalette crown, shaped like an archer's bow, is centered with a magnificent full relief carving of voultes, flowers and stylized shell motifs.  The arched, glazed doors underneath provide ample display, afforded by the meticulously designed shelving on the upper interior which has been painted to showcase your special collection or heirlooms.  Note the fine molded detail and pegged mortise & tenon joinery.  The casework below is of a tailored design, with arched raised & recessed door panels.  Both upper and lower tier open wide for ease in access, revealing the original hand-forged lockworks and door bolts.  Note the hand-chamfered panels on the back side.
