19th Century French Louis XVI Bookcase ~ Display Cabinet is a marvelous way to add charm and visual interest, while creating a minimal impact on your room's traffic pattern!  Although just shy of seven feet tall, it is only 14.5 inches deep, and features eighteen panes of glass in two doors at the top tier for display, with charming painted interior highlighting the tongue & groove planking of the back panel.  Below you'll find two generously sized cabinet doors hand-carved in exquisite bas relief with mirror images of floral wreaths, baskets with floral and foliates, fabric swags and ribbon, all framed by egg & dart with rosettes on each corner.  Intricate brass key guards protect the keyhole, with brass hinges supporting the doors.  A gentle whitewashed finish allows the color and patina of the aged wood to show through so very subtly, creating a visual appeal that cannot be denied!
