19th Century Grand French Louis XVI Secretary Bookcase represents the combination of storage, display and work surface that provides everything you need for the office!  Arched center section with sculpted heraldic crest flanked by foliates immediately catches your eye, which is then led down to the arched doors of the center section which is glazed to keep dust off your books or collectibles.  The slant front desk section, or secretaire, below opens to provide a surprisingly spacious work surface, and three cavernous drawers below provide superb storage.  What makes this exceptional piece stand out, however, are the two additional side cabinets, glazed on the upper two thirds and with an embellished panel below to conceal items from view.  The concave cornerposts that frame the center cabinet above the secretaire, as well as the convex cornerposts on the outermost corners are all carved, and are another example of the extraordinary craftsmanship.  It's an all-in-one solution, all rendered by master artisans from solid oak to last for centuries!
