Antique Country French Louis XVI Style Bookcase

Antique Country French Louis XVI Style Bookcase combines the sophistication of the classical style with the charm of hand-craftsmanship to create the perfect piece for your home or office!  Hand-crafted from solid oak, it features a multi-tiered crown molding topped with hand-carved egg & dart trim.  Cornerposts are rounded and carved from top to bottom with laurel leaf bundles, leading the eye down to the scrolled legs with upturned acanthus plume carvings.  Laurel also traverses the width just above the subtly contoured apron.  Trefoil arches define the aprons on the sides.   The sides are also masterfully crafted with fully framed and bordered, chamfered panels for visual appeal from any angle.  The doors provide a visual focal point, each fitted with six panels of blown glass, and surrounded by beaded trim with scrollworks at the top corners.  Beaded trim also encircles the lower panel on each door, allowing one display space above and more discreet storage below.  Doors open wide for easy access to the interior, fitted with four adjustable shelves creating five surfaces to adapt to almost any storage and display option.  The high quality of the craftsmanship is even continued on the back side, showing dovetailed joints and meticulously framed chamfered panels!
