Grand 19th Century Neo-Gothic Open Bookcase is a rare find indeed!  Just under 8 feet tall, it features no less than seven shelves and 8 surfaces, with all the shelves adjustable using the ingenious French notch brackets and trapezoidal shelf supports.  The crown lords over the casework with bold molded detail, and underneath a relatively small apron boasts incredible detail with two tiers of repeating carved patterns, the lower of which is of an arched colonnade with trefoil pierced through in an amazing display of talented woodcraft.  The cornerposts each feature integral corbels at the top next to the aforementioned apron, and at the base flanking the broad apron just above the floor.  Three recessed panels adorn each side, enabling visual appeal from all angles, and the entire affair is only a foot and a half deep, ensuring a minimal impact on your traffic pattern through the room.  Note the hand-chamfered solid panels in the back.  Lovingly hand-crafted from old-growth oak to last for centuries!
