Pair of 18th Century French Louis XV Signed & Painted Salon Chairs feature sensuously contoured frames from the seatback crown to the floor, with hand-carved embellishments of floral sprays highlighted in gold in contrast to the patinaed white painted frame.  The entire frame has achieved a lovely patina over the centuries.  At some point they were upholstered in the velvet you see in the photos, which is still in quite serviceable condition.
