Pair Charles X Period Hand-Painted Old Paris Porcelain Vases are a superlative example of the French ceramicists of the 19th Century.  Sourcing fine white clays and extraordinarily talented artists, the ceramicists first created the graceful form, then adorned each with individual works of art in the round, celebrating a wide variety of colorful flowers.  Gold highlighting and bordering around the rim, base and in patterns above the base create even more visual interest.  Unlike some other examples, these can be turned 1/4 rotation periodically to present a different flower combination each time.  It's also truly special for the pair to survive for over a century and a half!
