19th Century French Louis XVI Gilded Marble Top Console is a marvel of design, craftsmanship, and timeless style!  The artisans skillfully pierce-carved the entire apron, depicting laurel branches with berries, under which appear floral garlands.  The rounded sides create an intriguing visual statement.  At the center is the famous torchere and carquois de fleche symbolizing the longevity and power of the French monarchy.  Rosettes separate the apron sections while appearing above the tapered and fluted legs with upturned lotus petals just above the feet, which are joined with bowed stretchers centered with an elaborate urn with garlands carving.  To top it all off, beautifully contoured and beveled Carrara marble, of course!
