19th Century French Louis XVI Marble Top Console with Rams' Heads is a stunning example of the revival of ancient Greek and Roman architecture that occurred during the reign of Louis XVI.  The rams's heads on the scrolled legs are embellished by carved foliates, and the entire structure features its original gold finish that has achieved a lovely patina over the past century.  A classical variation on dentil molding adorns the entire visible apron, above which rests the original beveled marble top which adds a touch of unparalleled elegance.
