19th Century Venetian Painted Marble Top Console features a bold heraldic crest centered on the elaborately contoured apron, flanked by cascading floral and foliate sprays accented with blushes of color appearing on each of the four legs.  The overall taupe and light gray color of the framework is highlighted in gold as well.  The cabriole legs are connected with scrolled stretchers below, centered with a half-round plinth carved with an acanthus rosette, making this example one of the more uncommon consoles that is free-standing and does not require mounting to a wall.  Hand-contoured and beveled Carrara marble provides the elegant yet carefree surface, shaped to follow the complex design of the console below by a master's touch!
