This stunning 19th Century French Louis XVI Hall Tree is a study in timeless classical grace and elegance!  The boldly arched & molded crown overlooks exquisite bas relief of a wreath and floral sprays, which appears directly over the generously sized mirror.  The side panels feature a combination of reversed and arched crown moldings leading the eye up to the centerpiece carvings, while appearing above the two solid brass double hangers.  A convenient shelf supported by scrolled corbels provides a place to empty one's pockets, with an umbrella rack with original drip pan which also serves to stash one's walking cane.  The housing for the drip pan is lavished with classical foliates in bas relief as would a fine jardiniere.  Reeding and fluting combine with rosettes to adorn the remainder of the work, all enhanced by its original patinaed painted finish that has been weathered for an exceptional casual touch.
