19th Century Country French Secretary was designed with an unusually diminutive width making it the ideal choice for cozy rooms, niches or narrow spaces!  Hand-crafted from solid old-growth oak, it features a classic slant front design, with the drop front feature that not only opens to reveal a surprisingly spacious work surface, but also hidden cubby holes and drawers inside.  The drop front is supported by two pull-outs fitted with brass knobs.  Below the desk appears two nicely proportioned drawers with pendant pulls, and beneath them is an arbalette-scrolled apron with a variation of fluting carved into it.  Support is ably provided by four turned legs connected with turned stretchers for generations of enjoyment.  Such a design is great for space saving!
