19th Century French Louis XVI Oval Walnut Writing Table ~ End Table was designed to display visual appeal from all angles!  The oval shape eliminates all sharp corners, making it ideal even as a center table if so desired.  The sumptuous natural beauty of the select French walnut exudes an innate luxury, with tailored neoclassical architecture for a timeless effect.  The top consists of solid planks with a beveled edge, while the ends are adorned only with a subtle panel accented along the bottom with beaded trim.  The drawer and opposite side boast floral garlands hand-sculpted in relief and when closed, the drawer is hard to define, with access underneath the apron.  Support is provided by four tapered and fluted legs connected to the apron with plinth blocks lavished with acanthus rosettes, and connected below with double-bowed stretchers for extra footroom and structural support.  The drawer holds just enough to make it the perfect choice for a writing table or student desk!
