19th Century French Renaissance Barley Twist Writing Table ~ Desk was sculpted from solid old-growth oak to last for generations!  The fully gadrooned top encircles the entire surface, overlooking finished molded panels on the sides and back which makes it suitable for placement even in the center of the room.  The "business" end of the table features two drawers carved with foliates, the center of which protrudes out enough to serve as the drawer pull.  Three boldly carved rosettes flank each drawer, the outermost of which serve as capitals for the clockwise and counter-clockwise barley twist column legs.  The legs are joined at the bottom with a matching barley twist "H" stretcher for added strength with style.  Drawers open to reveal plenty of room to serve as a home desk, computer station, or just a place to jot down notes from time to time.
