Set of 6 Antique French Louis XVI Dining Chairs

Set of 6 Antique French Louis XVI Dining Chairs are an unusual design, creating a casual elegance with neoclassical architecture and embellishments.  The contoured oval seat backs envelope you with comfort, and are carved with an open oval shaped back splat and intricate Greek coin on the perimeter with laurel wreath at the center.  The seat is an intriguing double-hoop design, with the upper hoop completely upholstered for comfort fitted onto a fluted apron, and immediately below another molded hoop that adds visual flair as well as strengthening to the structure.  Four faceted, tapered, fluted and reeded legs provide support for each chair, topped with rosettes at the plinth juncture of the lower hoop.  The natural color of the chestnut combines with the serviceable upholstery, which is easily replaced with your coordinating fabric if so desired.
