Set of 6 Antique French Renaissance Upholstered Dining Chairs with Barley Twist Motif

Set of 6 Antique French Renaissance Upholstered Dining Chairs with Barley Twist Motif are perfect for adding an Old World touch to your dining experience!  Beautifully sculpted by talented furniture craftsmen, each chair features a lush grape vine design pierce-carved into the arched seatback crown flanked by turned finials atop plinths with rosettes below which appear clockwise & counter-clockwise barley twist uprights.  The uprights frame the seatback with very high quality tufted upholstery, which remains in excellent condition, and was also used for the comfortable seat below, which is positioned higher than typical antique dining chairs, providing more comfort than expected!  The seat is surrounded by a demilune gadrooned edge, leading the eye down to the double-reinforced framework designed with the same barley twist and rosettes as above for splendid continuity.
