Set of 8 Antique French Empire Mahogany Dining Chairs includes 2 Armchairs for an elegant and versatile set that can be used for more than just dining!  The architecture of the chairs is clearly influenced by the ancient Greeks and Romans, with the decorative accents just as influenced by the ancient Egyptian culture.  The tailored, linear design of the leg structures contrasts with the bold scrollwork of the armrests and the bowed seat splats.  Accents include mounts on the seatback crowns, rosettes at the top of the legs, and brass tips on the feet.  Upholstered in silk which is still quite serviceable.
