Set of Four 19th Century French Renaissance Chairs with Mohair are the perfect choice to create an Old World atmosphere in any room!  Hand-sculpted from dense, old-growth oak, each has been artistically carved from the crown to the feet, then upholstered in luxurious, long-lasting striped mohair in a wonderful neutral color.  Each seatback crown has been pierce-carved with an heraldic crest flanked by mirror image birds whose bodies morph into bounty of the earth motifs then a bold scrolled corbel that affixes to the plinths of the seatback uprights, which are carved in clockwise and counter-clockwise barley twists with rosettes on the plinths as well, topped with a turned finial.  Elegant foliate scrollwork surrounds the seatback, leading the eye down to the comfy seat, which is supported by a support structure which is a combination barley twist, turned and carved accents that complement the seatback above.
