Antique French Louis XIV Draw Leaf Dining Table in Stripped Oak is an unusual example of the cabinetmaker's art!  Crafted entirely from oak, it makes for a great compact table good for smaller dining rooms or breakfast areas, yet has two concealed leaves that draw out independently in an instant, when needed, for additional guests.  The top and apron is relatively tailored, and contrasts with the boldly scrolled cabriole legs carved with large acanthus plumes on the shoulders, and smaller plumes just above the escargot feet.  The legs are joined with a variation of the "H" stretcher curved to allow maximum foot room, which is in turn centered with a lyre-shaped carved structure that adds stability and reconnects with the bottom of the table.  Efficient, classic, and soft on the eyes, it has been painstakingly stripped using our proprietary, non-toxic process that retains the natural beauty and patina of the wood.
