Beauties like this don't come around very often, crafted during a period when exquisite materials and skilled craftsmanship still ruled the day.  Easily able to seat 6 to 8 guests, the top features extraordinary figured mahogany trimmed in an ebonized walnut French border a few inches from the finely molded edge.  A shallow apron trimmed in fine half-round appears under the bordered edge, and provides over 27 inches of knee clearance!  Support is well-engineered, with four columns set in a square and connected both above and below to create a sturdy platform with the lower connection being a solid shelf, with the four elegantly curved legs emanating out from the structure to provide maximum stability to the design.  Another elegant touch is the same ebonized walnut French bordering on the top of the legs, which terminate in solid brass caps fitted with brass casters to make it easy to adjust the position of the table within the room.  Only very, very rarely do we come across such a find that provides both the grace of a circular table top, the stability of a well-engineered design, and the extraordinary natural beauty of exotic imported woods!
