Antique Italian Rococo Giltwood Mirror is an amazing example of a master sculptor's work! The asymmetrical design glorifies the beauty of nature, with stylized shell and foliate motifs in a variety of expressions completely enveloping the elaborately contoured and arched mirror frame. All the adornment is hand-carved from solid wood as is the custom in Italy, then given a splendid gold finish which has achieved a lovely patina over the decades only adding to the visual appeal and impact of this diminutive, yet impressive work of art! The mirror is in exceptionally fine condition, protected by paneling in the back.
