Antique Framed Oil Painting on Board by Willy Kamp dated 1936

Beautifully preserved Antique Framed Oil Painting on Board by Willy Kamp is dated 1936, and depicts a scene near Xhouffray in Malmedy, located in eastern Belgium where the artist worked.  The area is known for its wetlands although it is far inland, but due to the topography an area called Hautes Fagnes, or "High Fens" has been created.  Dominating the composition is a late afternoon cloud-filled sky overlooking the intriguing terrain, with a brook meandering through the landscape into the immediate foreground.  Survives in its original frame.
