19th Century French Louis Philippe Canape ~ Sofa ~ Settee is a light and airy expression of the style, rendered in the waning years of the period out of indigenous cherry wood, with particular attention paid to the highly figured panels used across the entire subtly arched seatback.  Slats support the back in a wraparound design that includes armrests on both sides.  Scrolled uprights create an elegant visual statement, and the frame provides for a perfectly rectangular cushion which makes it very simple to reupholster when and if you choose to do so.  The slat design makes for a light actual weight, as well as a light visual weight, making it a good choice for more casual settings, in front of a window, or in the middle of the room if so desired!
