Antique French Louis XVI Fruitwood Caned Canape ~ Day Bed is a beautiful study in neoclassicism!  Hand-carved from solid fruitwood, it features a spiral ribbon motif around the entire framework with subtle arches on the seatback and side supports.  The same structures have been double-caned for a lightweight, airy effect.  Fine silk drapery material was upholstered over the cane for a dramatic effect, but same can be removed if one so chooses.  Suitable as a sofa or for overnight accommodations for one, it will make a special timeless addition to your decor.
