Pair 19th Century French Louis XVI Gilded Bronze Mantel Urns were hand-crafted during the Belle Epoque to create exquisite decorative accents for the discriminating decorator!  Cast in bronze, each features amazing detail from the intricately contoured and adorned handles surrounding the slotted rim down to the base lavished with full relief images of floral garlands suspended by flowing ribbon and connected to the base of the handles where appears rams' heads.  Upturned foliates emanate from the base of the urns' forms, which are each set upon flared, slotted bases rimmed with laurel garlands, accented with florals and rosettes, and fitted with four feet forming a corbel-like scroll.  The bronze composition lends a nice heft to the pair, and the gold finish simply exudes opulence.  What a fantastic gift!
