19th Century French Faux Bamboo Bed is a wonderful expression of Oriental design executed in maple and pine to simulate bamboo.  Popular during the Belle Epoque, the design capitalized on the European craze for Japanese and Chinese designs and products.  This example uses a neoclassical architecture with maple being used to create molding and trim, as well as finials atop the corner posts.  What a charming way to decorate a room, especially with the original companion pieces, viewable in the Related Products below left!
