Antique Italian Renaissance Walnut Queen Bed

Antique Italian Renaissance Walnut Queen Bed is a masterpiece of the wood sculptor's art!  Combining bold molding with exquisitely rendered artistry on a neoclassical framework, it will provide a visual centerpiece for any bedroom!  The first thing one encounters will be the footboard, lavished with Greek coin, stylized foliates, shells, and acanthus leaf molding across the entire base.  Carved pilasters frame the central panel, which in turn is centered with a bold relief of an amazingly detailed rosette.  Lions' heads peer out from the base molding serving as the feet for the piece.  The bold acanthus molding continues down the entire length of the bed rails, connecting with the headboard which duplicates the carved pilasters framing the central panel with the same centered, gloriously carved rosette.  An angel in full relief overlooks the entire work and watches over you while you slumber.  Bold molded detail all around completes the look.  Painstakingly converted to accommodate a modern Queen Size mattress set, full width rails will be added for additional support as we did not have time before these photos were taken, trying to make room for yet another huge shipment just arrived from Europe!
