18th Century Dutch Painted Corner Cabinet is a truly endearing piece, hand-crafted with a touch of whimsy!  Using old-growth pine, the artisans created a quarter round shape with a spacious cabinet below and shelves above for display or candles, then painted oak grain onto the surface.  The local blacksmith provided a hand-made bracket with eye so that it could be mounted off the floor in the corner, if so desired, although we wouldn't recommend that practice due to its age.  The single door is mounted with brass hinges and opens to reveal surprisingly spacious storage, with the interior painted in a pastel blue typical of the southern provinces of France.  On the front of the door appears a green bordering with a circular painting of a timeless Dutch windmill by the shore.
