19th Century French Louis XVI Walnut Marquetry Corner Cabinet is a charming example of rural craftsmanship, with a surprising artistic quality of marquetry ~ the intricate inlay of wood to create imagery.  This fine walnut piece has satinwood and olive wood inlaid into the facade and top for a fine bordering, with an oval frame created in the center of the door.  The frame enhances the amazing work of art at the center which depicts musical instruments of several varieties intertwined with ribbon and foliage to create a splendid musical still life!  Door opens to reveal three levels of storage.  Such intriguing items are ideal for utilizing an otherwise vacant corner space.
