19th Century French Louis Philippe Period Center Table ~ End Table is an elegant yet casual expression of the style, rendered in indigenous oak for a less formal effect, yet displaying the styling that has made the genre popular for 175 years!  The round, simply beveled top appears over an apron with only tailored trim around the perimeter, interrupted only by plinth blocks to which the elegantly scrolled legs are affixed.  The legs feature a nautilus-inspired scrollwork at the top, and a graceful "S" shaped curve towards the feet which also display escargot scrolls.  Mid way appears a round shelf which provides an extra surface as well as adds strength to the design.  Perfect for exuding a casual opulence that is timeless yet not too ostentatious!
