19th Century French Louis XIV Walnut Marble Top Center Table represents a rare opportunity to own a truly one-of-a-kind masterpiece of the woodsculptor's art!  Meticulously and artistically carved from sumptuous French walnut, it features amazing turnings, bold full relief carvings, intaglio style carvings, amazing molded detail and finery that must be closely studied to be fully appreciated.  An inset marble top creates a carefree surface, surrounded by a framework carved with a drapery style motif on the rounded beveled edge.  The apron just below is lavished with floral and foliates sculpted in bold full relief, even on the stepped-out corner plinths.  Multiple tiers of molding frame the apron.  Four amazingly intricate column legs provide support, with elaborate Corinthian capitals, acanthus blossoms, and both spiral and complex turnings.  The legs are then joined to another apron style base, carved with the same level of artistry as the apron above in complementary designs, with the insides of the bowed stretchers treated to the aforementioned intaglio carving.  The stretchers meet at a carved center piece that is a work of art unto itself with an elaborate fountain style design, florals, and even a pendant finial.  Truly an amazing example of artistic excellence, it will command immediate attention from all who enter the room!
