19th Century French Napoleon III Period Stripped Oak Center Table recalls the glory years of the last monarch of France, with inspired Renaissance-influenced hand-carved magnificence!  Gadrooned edge on the oval top appears above the tailored apron.  The massive pediment supporting the table top is unadorned above the juncture of the legs, but extraordinarily hand-carved from that point to the floor, with vertical rosettes appearing between the junctures of the four double scrolled legs, each of which boast acanthus plumes and intricate detail with nautilus scrolls on the feet.  Such tables were designed to take a place of honor in the entryway of fine chateaux and manoirs to welcome guests and family alike.
