19th Century Napoleon III Period Violin Center Table in Ebonized Walnut represents the epitome of the age during the reign of the last monarch of France!  All the definitive French styles were revived during this period, making it a fascinating time for both scholars and aficionados of fine furniture.  This example, rendered from hand-select pristine French walnut, features a top shaped like a violin, with the curvaceous edges finely beveled and displaying the absolute majesty of the finest indigenous wood from the European continent.  The apron below follows the elaborate contour and has been lavished with hand-carved detail depicting Florentine shell, floral and foliate motifs, enhanced by ebonizing.  The aprons on all four sides are treated to this sculptural effect, and join with flourish to the double-scrolled legs which themselves are adorned with full-relief carvings of fruit and foliates, also ebonized, leading the eye down to the elaborately scrolled stretchers below that meet in the middle via a majestic turned wood spire.  Escargot feet complete the look.  Literally designed to captivate one's attention upon immediately entering a household, such tables are irresistible to the eye no matter where they're placed!
