Antique French Mahogany Center Table is a graceful interpretation of the tables from the late Louis Philippe and early Napoleon III Period, when the exotic imported mahogany was used to create magnificent tables designed to make a statement in the foyers and entryways of the affluent.  The spacious round top works well in squared rooms, as well as those with curved staircases, both of which were common during the period.  The base consists of a large beautifully turned and carved pedestal supported by double-scrolled legs in a tripod configuration.  Rosettes appear between the legs for added visual interest.
