18th Century French Reliquary Cabinet was created in the form of the Quatre Follet, with four doors two atop each other.  Such cabinets are exceptionally versatile and accessible, so it's only natural the design would be chosen to keep sacred religious objects in the local churches.  This example features a third center door above carved with a monstrance centered with an embossed brass rosette representing the relic, and two drawers separating the upper and lower tier, all fitted with finely forged brass pulls and key guards.  Rendered in indigenous and highly revered French walnut, it has held a place of honor in more than one establishment over the past two centuries!
