19th Century Country French Armoire from Normandie features a celebration of the bountiful nature granted to the region in wonderful abundance!  A masterfully carved crown overlooks the casework which features s splendid bonnet centered with a floral rosette and flanked by fully laden grapevines on the left and wildflowers on the right.  Similar motifs, including prominent fern leaves adorn the tops of the doors below, with intricately scrolled and chamfered panels above and below separated by a beautifully contoured centerpiece which features wheat and wildflowers set on canted oval frameworks.  more wildflowers appear down the center stile, accented by bold, large brass key guards which complement the three brass barrel hinges on each door.  More carved detail appears at the bottom of the door, with an intriguing apron at the bottom that displays a finely detailed acanthus frond at the center flanked by repeating circular frames.  Doors open wide to reveal a cavernous interior ready for use with three shelves and four total surfaces.
