Grand 17th Century French Renaissance Chateaux Stripped Oak Four Door Armoire

Antique furniture like this large French Armoire Renaissance "Quatrefollet" is preferred in France with four doors during the 17th-18th centuries, allowing one to more easily segregate the contents, and providing smaller doors and the resulting smaller hinges. This excellent example we found in a fabulous Chateaux, called an Antique French Quatrefollet, is ideal for the bedroom wherein a TV can be placed on top while clothes or other belongings can remain hidden behind the lower doors and surprisingly spacious drawers. Featuring a stripped finish that shows off the wonderful natural patina of the weathered old-growth white oak, it is also perfect for the casual decorating scheme!

Circa 1660s.
