Antique Country French Early 18th Century Stripped Oak Armoire has stood the test of time! This amazing antique furniture was completely hand-made from old growth French oak from the storied Loire Valley. Hand-crafted by talented artisans during the early years of the reign of Louis XV, it boasts a boldly molded crown presides over the finely molded doors with oval motifs at the center.  An equally bold base molding sits above the massive bun feet.  The original hand-forged steel hinges and keyguards allow the doors to swing wide, and we have the original key that still works the original lock!  Completely hand-made with pegged mortise & tenon joinery, you can easily discern the hand tool marks all around.  Surviving in remarkable condition, it won't be long before this armoire will be celebrating its 300th birthday!

Circa 1730s.
