Early 19th Century French Louis XIV Stripped Oak Armoire is a masterpiece of the cabinetmaker's art!  Using dense, old-growth oak, the artisans started with classical architecture for the design, then lavished the casework with amazing molded detail in multiple tiers.  The crown is a work of art unto itself with mitered corners and a capstone effect at the center.  Dentil trim then a tier of reeded flutes completes the crown, which overlooks the pair of doors that continue the theme of astounding molded detail.  A pair of oval centerpieces on the doors adds visual impact, and the doors open wide thanks to the premium quality brass hinges making this an ideal candidate for a big flat panel TV.  Beneath the doors is a pair of drawers above the boldly molded base, each fitted with solid brass pulls and key guards, all supported by bun feet.  Our proprietary finishing method reveals the natural beauty of the wood while retaining the patina built up over the decades for a pleasing texture and appearance.
