Antique French Louis XVI Stripped Buffet ~ Credenza is a remarkable example of the cabinetmaker's art, with sculpture appearing on all visible sides to captivate your family, friends and guests for decades to come!  The ancient classical themes take center stage in oval frames on each door panel, with the left depicting ladies in flowing robes engaging in the harvest, with the right showing the Goddess Diana attended by cherubs and dryads stringing her bow for the evening's hunt.  Aside from the incredible artistry involved in the primary panels, the embellishment across the entire facade including the sides is remarkable unto itself, with rosettes, Greek coin, acanthus plumes, demilune bordering, amazing floral and foliate sprays and more, all artfully sculpted by an obviously talented artist!  Even the drawers depict floral garlands bordered with beaded trim and fitted with cast bronze pendant pulls.  Exquisite from all angles, its depth also allows copious storage for a piece not even 50 inches wide.
