Early 19th Century Country French Confiturier was deftly hand-crafted from old-growth oak, and features rounded cornerposts and a beveled top that follows the contours of the casework below. A single full-width drawer, defined by bold molding, is centered with a brass ferrure, or key guard. A vertical key guard appears on the cabinet door lock below, and the cabinet boasts a scrolled recessed panel with bold molding surrounding it. The back has been reworked around the turn of the 20th century. A wonderful example of hand-crafted excellence, it is an understatement in elegance!
