Grand 19th Century Country French Buffet was hand-crafted from solid old-growth oak for a spacious chateau!  Utilizing indigenous wood in the hands of capable craftsmen, the designer of this monumental piece chose to create a casework over ten feet in width, yet barely 20" in depth.  Each of the generously sized cabinet doors feature intricately scrolled and chamfered panels surrounded by framework carved in bas relief with wildflowers and foliate motifs.  Set up like two buffets side by side, the center section boasts a gorgeous lower panel sculpted to depict a heart-shaped crest festooned with wildflowers, above which appear two spacious drawers with complementary carving.  Steel pulls, key guards and hinges accentuate the piece, which has been joined with pegged mortise & tenon, a time-honored traditional method handed down for centuries.  Full width scrolled apron below provides the finishing touch.
