18th Century Country French Louis XVI Neoclassical Commode in Stripped Oak exudes a timeless elegance, featuring hand-carved detailing across the drawer facades and cast bronze neoclassical pulls and keyguards.  The classical architecture recalls the glory days of the ancient Greeks and Romans, and remains the most popular form to this day.  Fluted & reeded corners provide a framework for the drawers, which are themselves carved with floral bouquets with ribbon, wheat and wildflowers surrounding the key guards.  Fine molded detail abounds on all sides, with tapered and fluted legs flaking the apron adorned with three rosettes.  Painstakingly stripped using our proprietary process that retains the natural beauty of the wood's patina developed over the past two centuries!
