18th Century French Louis XVI Period Whitewashed Commode is the essence of understated elegance!  The overall architecture is tailored, and features slight extensions on each corner to accommodate the fluted cornerposts.  The top has been cut with a triple bevel, and the apron features a complementary notched appearance.  The drawer facades are the primary visual focus, with circular centers defined by finely cast brass key guards, with molded detail defining the center and bordering the remainder of the facade.  The entire piece has been whitewashed to allow the patina of the wood to show forth.  Brass knobs complete the look.
