Antique Country French Commode was fashioned from solid oak to last for several lifetimes! The elegant sides are influenced by the bombe style, reflected in the shape of the cornerposts, for a naturalistic form. A tailored three-panel design appears on each of the three drawers, which are fitted with brass bale pulls and key guards, and exhibit a very subtle contoured facade. The apron and legs are more elaborate, with carved accents comprised of stylized acanthus leaf, shell and escargot feet. The generous surface and storage accommodations make this as useful as it is visually appealing!
